Subsea Projects
The manufacturing of steel structures for subsea projects involves creating robust and resilient components - designed to withstand the harsh conditions of underwater environments.
We conduct rigorous inspections and tests to ensure the quality and safety of the structures we manufacture. This may include non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like visual inspection, magnetic pulver testing, ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, pressure testing, and FATs or SATs to identify any flaws or weaknesses. Testing is also carried out to establish adherence to stringent standards and to ensure safety and durability in one of the most challenging environments on Earth. Fabrication of these types of structures frequently follow NORSOK M-101 or NORSOK M-102.

Given the corrosive nature of seawater, our steel structures are normally coated with protective layers, in adherence with NORSOK M-501 - often with System 7. This can include anti-corrosion coatings, cathodic protection systems, or even a combination of both to prolong the lifespan of the structures.
01
ROV Screw Clamp
Rush Fabrication of 2 off ROV Aluminum Clamps for DeepOcean.

Fabricated in adherence to NORSOK M-102. Non- Destructive tested as execution class 2. Surface partially covered with PEHD and NR Rubber.

The project had 40 welds and was delivered after just 18 days - including FAT execution here at Jarmo.
02
Anode Skid Frame
Fabrication of skid/sled for 3 stand-off Aluminum anodes for DeepOcean.

Fabrication in adherence with AWS D1.1/D1.1M. Cathodic protection in adherence with NORSOK M-503. Protective coating in System 7B.
03
Cable Quadrant
Rush Fabrication of Cable Quadrant for DeepOcean.

Modifications where made to the design to ensure fast delivery. The quadrant spanned 2600 x 5200 mm, and was fabricated to withstand a load of 21 T.

The fabrication had a total of 404 welds, and delivery took place after 28 days.
04
Centralizer Segments
Fabrication of 12 centralizer segments for DeepOcean

The segments were assembled after fabrication to create 3 off 26'' Conductor Centralizers. A Mock-Up stand was also fabricated to carry out FAT at our workshop. All fabricated to NORSOK M-101.

The project totaled in over 870 parts!
